That's Jake Gyllenhaal, Kevin Spacey and Joaquin Phoenix of course, lol. My 3 favourite actors around today. I think they're all phenomenal actors - really versatile, actors who take challenging roles that interest them and not just roles that'll make themselves the most amount of money. It also doesn't hurt that I find all 3 of them totally drop dead gorgeous and charismatic too! Lol. I simply adore them and could never tire of watching them in anything. There are lots of other actors I like of course, current and the stars of old, but Jake, Kev and Joaq are most definitely my faves. Josie

Hey Josie, thank you for sharing! I can COMPLETELY commiserate with Jake Gyllenhaal, Holy Mother of Pearl! That man has the whole package going. Kevin Spacey (what are some of your favourite films of his I am not as familiar with him) and Joaq was incredible in Walk the Line and Ladder 49! Yikes. Stunning work

I love Joaquin in Walk the Line and Ladder 49 too. I especially love him in Signs and The Village. I really like M Night Shyamalan's films. Joaquin's such a good actor, and darn gorgeous too! Jake, well he's just perfect, in every way, lol. Wonderful actor, gorgeous and seems like a nice, fun, intelligent guy in interviews. I could never tire of watching him in anything. As for Kevin Spacey, he's always been one of my all-time favourite actors. I think he's incredible, on film and on the stage. I have just about every film he's ever made on dvd/video and have seen him on stage at the Old Vic (where I'm a Club member) tons of times. As great as he is in films, the stage is where he really excels. It's his first love and where he says his heart truly lies, and it certainly shows, when he's up there acting his socks off! I've met him a lot of times at the Vic too, and he's such a charismatic man. Beautiful brown eyes and lovely smile. *sigh*, lol. He's a terrific singer and dancer too. I've seen him singing live on stage a few times and he's always wonderful. So talented. Some of my favourite films of Kevin's include American Beauty, The Usual Suspects, The Shipping News, The Negotiator, Beyond The Sea, LA Confidential, Se7en, Swimming With Sharks, The Ref, The Big Kahuna, Darrow - God, I could go on and on. He's rarely been in a bad film. Even the couple of films he made that I'm not so keen on he's still great in them! Lol. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the forthcoming Superman Returns film too, where he plays the evil Lex Luthor. Should be a fun role for him.

Thank- you I am feeling educated and a dire need to go to the videostore and rent out their Kevin Spacey collection (He is not the man in Pay it Forward, is he?) That's who I always thought he was, but I could be way off base there... Joaq. seems to be an up and rising young actor but my in every film he shows his colours more prominently. Jake.... sigh, yes... Jake

Yes, Kevin played the scarred teacher in Pay It Forward. It's not a fave film of mine, but I think he's terrific in it, as always.

OH okay so I'm not completely off base. He was so powerful in that film, not at his most attractive peak but it definitely touched my heart. Thanks for clearing that up

Lol no, he wasn't looking his best in that film, with all the scar make-up/prosthetics. He certainly gave a very powerful performance in it though. How do I post pics on here? I was going to post a few of my favourite Kevin pics but I can't right click to post the urls.

Oh thanks for posting. He is quite stunning. That smile & those eyes As with the films lets break the 3 actors down to their own sections (save for Jake as he has a board to himself in "Dream Cast") so we can discuss them separately.. filmography biography and proper swooning
