Paul Newman is another one of my all-time favourite actors. What a guy. Such a screen presence and chemistry and so brilliant in just about every film I've seen him in. Some of my favourite films of his include: Cool Hand Luke The Hustler Cat On A Hot Tin Roof The Young Philadelphians Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid Sweet Bird Of Youth The Prize Somebody Up There Likes Me Paris Blues Torn Curtain Hud Harper The Verdict Slap Shot Message In A Bottle Road To Perdition and many many others. Here's just 4 of my fave pics of him, in his prime - and what a prime! *swoon* Paul is an actor I could never possibly tire of watching in anything. He seems like such a decent guy too, with all the wonderful work he's done for various charities over the years. Love him to bits!

So down to Earth. My dad and he would just sit out back by the pool (or the ocean depending) and have a beer and chat ... such a sweet guy and always great for advise!!!

That's great to hear he's like that, really down to earth. That's the impression I've always got of him. How did you dad get to know him?

They met through a mutual friend who has a cabin in Northern Minnesota (lived there for a while for my dad's job)

I've bought his sauces and salad dressings several times, they're really good. I think it's great that he does that, for those children's charities. Good on him!

Bless him, truly a sweet heart. Hasn't he been up for awards this year? The Empire... (something ) ?

Yes, Empire Falls I think. I haven't seen it. I don't think it's been shown here in the UK, although I'm not certain. I think he won a SAG award for his performance in it. Good on him!

Yes, I think so, he gave him his first driving lesson! I've read that in several different places and always the same way, so I think that this is true! Hey Kelley, with a bit of luck, you can meet Jake!
