My father decided at 2 AM that we needed some bonding time and that I should get out of the house as I have been cooped up with my cast for my surgery ...so we went and saw it at a late late showing!! OMG. Wow it was powerful. I just wanted to intervene and AHH what drugs do to people, but the music and the love preveiled. It was deeply touching, and the music was phenominal, I heard that Reece and Joaq. did their own singing!! Great on them

My dad is nuts. Let me draw a picture.... well there is a photo in the about me thread, but he is the most quiet and laid back guy ever, but in talking just hysterical, and when you get him to open up... he is hyper as hell! I love him so much, he recently got a new job. It took him a week to fire from the other one and he lost so much weight in the process and was skinny to begin with. But seeing the movie together was priceless. I love when family and friends go out of their way to do fun things and make you feell so special

He is nuts, let me clarify!! I went to bed after school to rest my arm and then came online to check around and he must have heard me in my room on my lap top and comes up stairs and says we are going out. And I told him shit if I am getting dressed, so it was my first time going to the theatre in pajamas... with my father ;D But Joaq. did SUCH a good job singing!! Walk the Line and Ring of Fire were Amazzzing

O.K. now don't kill me but I thought it was just O.K., but that could be because ppl have been 'raving' about it so badly. You know when it gets built up so much and then you have these great big expectations? I like what Jon Stewart said about it "it's Ray but with white people" I guess I saw it like that? I don't know, I loved the singing and the fact that Reese and Joaquin did there own singing was fantastic, but other than that........... Acutally my boss said the exact same thing about BBM, it had been built up and when he went to see it he thought it was O.K.? Different strokes I guess.

I can completely understand where you are coming from! (Jon Stewart is hysterical.) I think it put to film a great life, a tragic life... and I thought Jouaq. really took the role head one... I love the original music the best (I get this way, and maybe should be slapped... but as in Moulin Rouge I could not have complete respect for I know the original music and when it is altered so severely.. it does not match my ears, of course I am open to it, and can enjoy it.. but it just seems off... just not quite right) How many tangents can I go off on in one post
