Potential Spoilers!OK I saw this film for the first time! What a character Joe Nast is! (I could not help but think Jack Nasty when he states his name up on the pulpit of confession) What a twisted up circumstance they all find themselves in! I could not believe it when it begins to unfold that Joe and his fiancee had broken their plans just days before her murder, and that that was the reason she was in the bar, and thus killed. Each and every actor/tress gave such a powerful performance. Dustin Hoffman we can truly see going through the turmoil and swings of coping with the tragedy. The small things in life (the reoccuring window nagging at him) begin to pose so important and he is blindsided from the truth. Suzan Sarandon ....well let's just say this is a far cry from the famed Rocky Horror Picture Show that I know her from. She is witty as ever and has such mothering instincts... when she catches Joe coming in the window, my heart stops, and how she sensed in her daughter that something had been wrong was gut wrenching. Jake Gyllenhaal. What more is there to say!? His performances never let me down. When he is forced to confess to bring his fiancee's killer to justice... it is so powerful the turn of events and the change of heart. I could not keep the tears, having just lost a friend myself, I know that what they want is so important, and their actions lead you to do things.... it was so moving that he was led to the truth by her "spirit" For me this film could not have come at a better time. I could not get over how young Jake looked!!

You and my mum both! She had seen it previously and freaked out at the Elton John song ... lol. The music went great with it. I loved in the hearse how it blasts... and the chauffeur is quick to turn it off, but then JoJo turns it right back on! ;D

About to cry? Oh I was all out sobbing... The honesty just radiates out of him. And at the very end he smiles, as if the burden has been relieved off of his chest but then quickly comes a frown, at the woman he has lost, it is heart breaking and so beautiful And of course my father comes in from his dinner arrangement during the sex scene... I swear, every time I watch a film!

jake is my number #1 favorite actor and he could act in anything. he never disappoints me. he is such a brilliant actor.

No! I understand the point of it perfectly, they had been through so much the same situations and they could so severely relate to one another... however my father walks in when they are both "naked" under the sheets... and I get the look as to "What is this you are watching!?" lol.

LOL! That had to be histerical! It is just like dad nothing bad is happening. Lol.
I watched this movie in September so I don't remember much. All I really remember is the business that Joe and Dustin's character have and the person from Grey's Anatomy. I was falling asleep at the time I watched it so I got confused. Caitlin also told me you have to watch it a couple of times to get it.
