OMG, i would have killed that guy on the other hand...ummm...everything great is either getting a positive reaction or a negative...only mediocre things are jugded without passion... so i prefer yalling guys in the theatre instead of people ignoring the movie... but i totaly see your point, they are just a couple of to loving people...i saw the movie twice so far and everybody said that actually...

Well, maybe you will find it weird but, each time I saw the movie, I never made the difference, you know, not girl-guy, but guy-guy. (It made sense?)
I've always seen the movie like a love story!

(you make sense ) And I think it breaks away many boundaries and stereotypes (that need to be broken! In Hollywood and everywhere) that love is love, and it does not matter who you love, but that you do. The film is a true love story, you are right

I really wonder if the actors (Jake/Heath) know how they have made these characters matter to so many different ppl. I mean no award could be given for touching human hearts To me there was so much more than acting going on between the two, they must have really trusted each other and also gotten to know one another extremly well. I totally agree with you here - Jake and Heath put in such believable performances that they draw you into their characters in such a way that their love, their hurt seem positively real!!

Yup totally Des I often wonder if I found out that Heath and Jake ' hated ' each other off screen if their preformances would have touched me as much? I guess that's kinda silly but it makes more difference to me knowing how close they did become? Does that make any sense LOL

It does make sense, completely.
To know and want a true relationship off screen (no I am not meaning to imply romantic) but at least friendship, and admiration for the other's work... and as a human being..
and they should, they truly should make an award for touching human's hearts. Someday if I strike it rich, I will make such an award and name it after you for the idea!

(you make sense ) And I think it breaks away many boundaries and stereotypes (that need to be broken! In Hollywood and everywhere) that love is love, and it does not matter who you love, but that you do. The film is a true love story, you are right OMG, I officially love you! don't look at me like I'm nuts or anything, it's just that yesterday I was arguing on this other forum ( a croatian one, about movies and tv shows ) with a girl ( that pisses me off ) and she was going on and on about how gay is NOT okay and stuff and I've been telling her like: 'girl, hello!!!! you didn't even see the damn movie. it's a love story!!!' but noooooooo, why should she keep her ignorant mouth shut when she can just go on and on and on and ramble about things she knows nothing about. so I was kinda frustrated because of that. and it's so refreshing to come here and share the love with you guys. I never thought about brokeback as a 'gay cowboy movie' ( although I seriously wanted to because I'm into gay themed stuff ), it was always just this beautiful and heartbreaking love story about two souls who happened to find each other and fall in love. I dunno, everytime I see the movie, it's like everything, every scene, every kiss- comes so naturally....I get absorbed and mesmorized by it and that's why I just can't understand the people who laugh during those scenes. I mean okay, it's their choice to laugh, they're obviouslly not quite sure about their own sexuality so they have the urge to show discomfort by nervous giggles. and oh my fucking god how I HATE labeles!!!! It's like, everything and everyone 'has' to be labeled nowadays- you're either black or white, muslim or christan, gay, straight, bi, trans....why can't people just LIVE and let live, enjoy life and finally realise that the most important thing about an other person is that person's SOUL and not his looks, his religion, gender, sexual orintation, skin colour etc. urg, sorry guys, I just had to let all my frustrations out in the open....somewhere where I know I'm gonna be understood and heard and agreed with

@ ysang :: a castle!? ;D OK, neighbours in castles, I like this!! Ahhh, I am officially loved.... ;D & don't worry I do not freak out easily, I know what you mean Sigh, yes... you will sadly find people like that all over. You either confront them or ignore them, depending on your style. Sorry that she has posed a problem for you, you don't deserve that. Here everyone is loving and understanding of your point of view and thrilled with all the more you say! I know just what you mean... and how I hate these labels! I am known at my school to be one to stand up against them. I have taken on boys 3x my size just for the very reason. It is not wise to judge... because then you will be judged many times harsher.

koka, i couldn't agree more!! you wont believe how often i get messages at my myspace from stupid ignorant people trying to convince me that i'm on the wrong path and that being gay is just a misunderstanding and i just need to get that idea out of my head, worst case: they say sth like "god loves you, he waits for you to make the right decision to quit being with man... oouuh, i sometimes feel like being in the middle age the more important is to show different opinion and the more i love bbm and you guys here

"god loves you, he waits for you to make the right decision to quit being with man..."Let me clear one or two things up, yes? ;D Ok! Ysang, God loves you no matter what! No matter who you are or what path you choose, nothing you can do will ever waver his love for you. I know you do not do the following, but let me reiterate, never let someone tell you how to act or behave... and definitely who to love! If you love a man, love a man! If you love a woman, love a woman! "It's nobody's business but ours." << Jack. No one else has the right to judge the choices you make. It is what is good/bad ... right/wrong for you, not them! Make the choices that are right for you... and nobody else. It is, your life And here, we support and love you!!

that's why i love it here!!! did you guys see all see the discussions at imdb.com?? i normally dislike them, the level is so low and many people just try to insult everybody, but at bbm there are many many people who say how it changed their mind, that was very touching to read...!!! (just to come up with a good example)

I went shopping before I went to the theatre and bought a whole box of tissues just in case. Hell, I needed all of them! When the credits started rolling I just felt like I had the wind knocked out of me, I was so overwhelmed. I absolutely adored the scene of Heath holding those two shirts to his chest, it was heartbreaking and I bawled my eyes out. I'm definitely going to see it again, I might be able to write something proper then. xdewix what a great statement ;D I agree with you totally. Your explination of "the wind being knocked out of you" I had the same experience the first time I saw it and still have it after 6 times. It makes my skin goose bumpy even thinking about how beautifully Ang captured this story and the pain in both Jack and Ennis. I will say this again NO other actors could have made me feel what I feel when I watch the movie, and even now when I am discussing the film

(just to come up with a good example) Sadly, yes I have seen the discussion at the forums of IMDb.com. It is appalling. Truly! People can have their own opinions, I grant and applaud that... but do not bash other peoples'! One thing I very much want here is that anyone from any background race/gender/orientation to feel they can say how it touched them. IMDb.com is a great place for information on films but their "forums" and "discussions" are so low grade! I think people with too much time on their hands just take pleasure in trying to hurt others, and that is just terribly so wrong. I never want to change anyone's mind. I am all for you making choices and conclusions for yourself. However, I do love to hear them, all of them. Every thought Ysang I know completely where you are coming from... I was going through the discussions for Vanessa Paradis and all they could do was bash her and say how she is not good enough for Johnny and should fix the gap in her teeth and UGH! They are so superficial sometimes. Okay I really did not mean to vent, but I have had some bad experiences over there, and never want those here. If you ever encounter a problem, let me know at once... I will be sure to see to it. We love you Ysang & yes... to answer more plainly.. over there many of the discussions are just so... grazing the surface... they don't go into the emotion of the film. *Stepping down from the soap box*
